INFORMATIONS
The International Sports Medicine Symposium is open to all participants. It is co-chaired by Dr. André Monroche – former President of the French Society for Exercise and Sports Medicine – and Pr. Xavier Bigard, Medical Director of the International Cycling Union (UCI).
Other permanent members of the Scientific Committee are
• Dr Nourredine Bendib, President of the Latin and Mediterranean Sports Medicine Group
• Dr Nader Habib, President of the Association Médecin Francophone du Canada
• Dr Nicole Parent, Executive Director of the Association Médecin Francophone du Canada
• Dr César Torres, Sports Specialist, Executive of the Colombian Sports Medicine Group
This event combines medical training and sports practice and allows participants and lecturers to obtain training credits. For this 44th edition, it will take the form of four sessions of one and a half hours each, from Monday 9 to Thursday 12 June, in the late afternoon.
In total, these six hours will alternate between free oral presentations by participants whose applications have been accepted by the Symposium Organising Committee, and thematic sessions chaired by members of the same committee.
This year’s thematic sessions will cover the following topics:
• Mental health of the practitioner and the sportsperson
• Women and sport
